By default, blink LED for existing notifications on reconnect

Steps

  1. Connect to core
  2. Lock the screen
  3. Receive a notification (highlight, PM, etc), check notification LED
  4. Wake device, and without unlocking, toggle WiFi
    • Also works to roam outside of connection range
  5. Check notification LED

Outcome

In the first case, the notification triggers the LED, allowing one to see at a glance if there's missed notifications.

In the second case, though, after reconnecting the LED goes away even if nothing was done to dismiss or see the notifications.

Suggestions

Default the Old Highlights category to blink the notification LED, too.

Additional

Android 7.1 and below will always blink the notification LED for old notifications, too.

Yes, I realize had asked for this change. My opinion's shifted after actually using Quasseldroid with silent notifications for a while.

Now, I feel like avoiding the sound/vibration on old notifications is all that was needed. Disabling the LED by default, too, makes it too easy to miss notifications when roaming about.
