Suggest upgrading Quassel core in MissingFeatures dialog
Idea
Right now, Quasseldroid recognizes when features are missing, but doesn't provide any suggestion on how to resolve it in info_missing_features
from strings.xml
.
Your core is missing features that are required for Quasseldroid to work correctly.
Quasseldroid should probably mention something about upgrading to a newer version, perhaps like this…
Your core is missing features that are required for Quasseldroid to work correctly. You may need to upgrade your Quassel core.
Perhaps including a link to the Quassel homepage, https://quassel-irc.org/ .
Alternatively, be specific:
Your core is missing features that are required for Quasseldroid to work correctly. You should upgrade your Quassel core to v0.13 or newer.
Additional
I'm guessing a lot of people will still be caught off-guard with Quasseldroid going to stable and Quassel 0.13 still rolling out across distros. People may dismiss the missing features dialog or not know what to do with it, so a little bit more guidance may help.
Mentioning a specific version could simplify the UI, but involves more code changes down the road when new features are added, e.g. when the unreleased master branch has features.
This is separate from the contextual reminders of missing features, tracked in issue #93, as that involves much more work than string changes.
